Ueno Nakadori

Ueno Nakadori (proper named: Uenochyu うえ中) is a great shopping and drinking street next to Amecho. It’s a fun place to play arcade games, buy used goods, or have a drink. I love to visit this area when I’m in Tokyo. It’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to that feeling LA has in Blade Runner, but with less dystopia and more fun. It’s hard to explain in words the atmosphere, but as you can see the lights really do shine through the night there.
