Misato and PenPen B&W
I once got in an argument with someone who said Black and White photography is just a cheap trick. I don't do much black and white photography but when I do I really love how it captures the texture and tone of an image in a way that color doesn't. By cutting away chroma you're really able to see value in a way I don't often appreciate.
One photo editing trick I picked up is actually to make adjustments in B&W and then turn color back on. When I do that there's a dramatic improvement to the contrast and colors in the image even though I couldn't see them as I was editing.
